Waterfall Post Wedding Session in Tennessee

Trey & Kiani had a beautiful fall wedding at Gardens in the Gorge in Chattanooga. Anyone that knows them, knows that they are genuine, joyful, thoughtful, & intentional. I don’t think you could meet someone sweeter. Every part of their day flowed with such ease. No rushing, no stress. After their ceremony, we decided on the spot to find another day in the near future to do a post-wedding session so they could have more time for photos of just the two of them. Normally, we’d do this in a matter of days or weeks after the wedding, but we opted for a bit farther down the road. This past weekend, we reunited at the location where they’ve had many of their own personal adventures and also wrote their vows. I came fully expecting to hike several miles, but everything was in very close proximity. We saw a handful of other hikers throughout the evening, but we mostly had it to ourselves. Rich greens & crisp air. Rushing water all around. I was soaked up to my shins & couldn’t have been happier. We made it back to our cars with just enough time to stop at one more spot along the Tennessee River. After, we chatted for a minute and said our goodbyes, which is easily the hardest part of the day. I drove home tired & with a heart full of gratitude. Do NOT ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do what you want to for your elopement or wedding day. There are no rules and this is the proof. Sometimes what you decide may not be the standard or conventional, but if it’s built on the things you value and love, you’ll never go wrong and you’ll never have regrets.
