Planning a Wedding During a Global Pandemic
I know that the past couple of weeks (now months) have probably been a little overwhelming as concerns about the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 have increased.
There is so much anxiety & fear that has surrounded this virus, and understandably so. It's impacted all of us in some way or another. For those of you who are planning your session or your wedding day, I know the thought that a global pandemic could impact it is disheartening.
So, where do we go from here?
Right now, I’m trying to work on some helpful tips & resources for you guys to help navigate planning through the pandemic. But most importantly, you need to know:
I am in your corner. You can bet on that. I am your advocate & I want to help you/support you in any way that I can. You are not alone & you don't have to do this alone.
Let's work together. Maybe you are feeling the weight of this & just don't know what to do. Let's talk about it. Let's discuss your options, what's possible, & how to make it happen if there needs to be an alternative. You might not even need to do anything at all, but the best thing you can do is just have a conversation about it.
Be encouraged. My heart is so sad for any couples that are having to experience the choice to cancel or postpone their session/wedding because of the covid-19. I pray that you don't have to experience this & if you are - I am so sorry. I know how much planning, resources, & love go into those days. Don't lose heart, friend. Everything will work out exactly as it's supposed to, even if it looks different than your original plan.
Take care of yourself. The most important thing to me - is you! I care about your dreams. I care about your peace of mind. I care about your plans. I care about your health. Please do whatever you feel is necessary to take care of yourself & your loved ones.
I can't tell you how much it means to me that you've invited me into your story. I appreciate you more than you know & pray this message brings you comfort. Thanks for your love & trust.
XO, Dakota
