The Best Places to Elope in Alabama

Most of the time when people think about elopements, they imagine a destination wedding far away in another part of the country or the world. I am down for adventure, wherever it may carry me. But I also think that it’s important to know that you also don’t have to go far to have a meaningful wedding experience or find incredible locations. Mountains, boulder fields, beaches, rolling grasslands, forests of pines, and over 132,000 miles of rivers and streams - are in Alabama. You heard that right. While the terrains of the southern United States might not be as versatile as other parts of the country, Alabama still has some insanely beautiful geology. Over my eight years of shooting & even just exploring my home state, I’ve found so many places I didn’t even knew existed - and I’ve lived here my whole life! Because Alabama is covered in deep woods, it certainly can make pinning locations down a little difficult. There are state parks, non-state parks, nature preserves, national forests, gardens, trails, waterfalls, landmarks, beaches, lakes, rivers, & unique locations all over the state. Here are just a few of what I consider to be some of the best places to elope in Alabama!

Note: Some of these locations have multiple spots and sight to see.
