5 Tips for Photographers
1. Get comfortable with your gear so that you can invest your time & focus where it matters. In other words, the better you know your camera and how it works, the less you’ll think about the technical stuff & the more energy you’ll be able to pour into giving your clients the best experience.
2. I always overshoot. Sure, it kills the shutter life on my camera, but I have no regrets about it. I'm more worried about missing moments than having to cull through more photos.
3. I like to mix posing/prompting, but I really just use those things to give guidance while having conversations with my clients. Find what works for you & give your clients the time of their lives. AND, don’t be afraid to try something new.
4. I always bring my bluetooth speaker & play music during sessions. It really helps set the atmosphere & makes my clients feel more comfortable.
5. I send sneak peeks after the session/event, usually within 24-48 hours. It can be just a handful, but it's going to be a few weeks before your clients get their entire gallery. It gives them something to look forward to while you are working your magic.
